La Belle Marigot

(3 hours) Traveling through Castries, the capital, you wind your way through lush residential areas to Caribelle Batik. This Victorian house (haunted according to folklore) houses the workshop where artists leaning over simmering cauldrons of wax create fine Batik from Carabelle. Before stopping at St. Marks, an old Colonial style house perched on a hill overlooking Castries Harbour, your bus will stop at Marigot Bay, a tranquil blue lagoon surrounded by lush green hills.. exotic.. unspoiled.. a tropical retreat!

North Island and Beach Tour

(3 hours) Your tour will take you through the main shopping center in Castries and on to Bagshaws, where you can purchase exquisite hand silkscreen clothing. The next stop will be at historic Morne Fortune from where you get a sweeping view of Castries. Traveling along the north, you will pass by Rodney Bay Marina, home to many luxurious yachts, GrosIslet, a small fishing village and then to Pigeon Pointe with its ruins of battles long ago. Before returning to the ship, a stop will be made at the St. Lucian, a prestigious hotel on Reduit Beach, where you will have time to relax or swim

(8 hours) Leaving Castries, you will cruise along the picturesque west coast to Soufriere where you will enjoy the view of the Pitons, 2 peaks rising over 2000' out of the sea. Once ashore, you will visit the walkin volcano, the Sulphur springs and the tropical Diamond Bath and Falls. A stop will be made at The Still, an old rum factory converted into a restaurant, where a snack and beverage will be served. Cruising back, you will stop at deserted Anse Cochon for a swim before returning to the ship.

Rain Forest Jungle Trail Tour

(7 hours) Leaving Castries, you will ride up Morne Fortune to capture the picturesque harbour and pass through many fishing villages of Indian and French descent. Upon arrival at Mahoe, your walk begins through the MahoutDes Cartiers Trail where the guides will brief you on the various plants and fauna you may encounter. Afterwards, a picnic lunch will be served. Your tour continues to La Tille Estate, a small "Garden of Eden" with a host of fruit and vegetable gardens. Marvel at the beauty of the Mahoe River and its waterfall before returning to the ship along the east coast

(3 hours) Leaving Castries, you will ride up Morne Fortune to capture the picturesque harbour en route to Eudovic's, a wooden craft studio with authentic St. Lucian pieces. Driving through the countryside, you will pass by the banana fields on one side and the unique landscape on the other. The French heritage cannot be missed. At Bonne Terre, you will enter the estate of the Denveer Family. Tropica Gardens was conceived in 1978 out of the family's profound love and admiration of nature. Afterwards, you will stop at Pigeon Island, one of the best beaches for swimming and sunbathing.

Plantation Delight

(6 hours) Driving through Castries, you will get a taste of the commercial life of the capital of St. Lucia. Continuing up the hill towards Morne Fortune, a stop will be made so you can enjoy the beauty of the harbour. The French heritage cannot be missed as you pass by many small villages. Next stop is the Sulphur Springs, often referred to as the world's only drive-in Volcano. This site is the result of volcanic eruptions 300,000 years ago. From there you will be taken to the magnificent Morne Coubaril Estate, a working family plantation. Walk among the tropical flowers and smell the fresh coffee and cocoa. Enjoy a buffet lunch at this beautiful setting. Heading toward Soufriere, you will see the magnificent twin peaks, Gros Piton and Petit Piton. A short stop will be made at the craft centre before returning to the ship.

4-Wheel Sugar Mill Adventure

(4 hours) Departing the city of Castries, a stop will be made at Morne Fortune to admire the magnificent beauty of the city and surroundings. Passing by banana plantations and through Roseau, a detour will be made to the countryside, passing through the quaint villages of Millet, Durancleau and Venus, where you will see how the local people live. On more rugged terrain, you will view the outskirts of the rain forest, view Mt. Gimie, St. Lucia's highest mountain and cascading waterfalls. Before returning to the ship, a stop will be made at the Sugar Mill, where refreshments will be served.

Morne Coubaril Plantation Tour

(4 hours) Experience a sense of nostalgia and a communion with nature on this tour of a working plantation. The journey begins with a delightful ride along the west coast with the rain forest on the left and the beautiful Caribbean Sea on the right. Soufriere, nestled below the majestic Pitons, is a sight to behold before approaching Morne Coubaril Estate where you can experience the wonders of a working family plantation. Walk along the tropical flowers and fauna, peeping in and out of buildings constructed to depict the living and working quarters of years gone by. Watch ladies prepare the coconuts which will end up as oil, butter, creams or soaps. Smell fresh coffee and cocoa and see how they are processed as well. And don't miss the old mill where the sugar cane is ground to produce sugar, and of course - Rum!!

Mountain Ridge Bike Tour

(3 1/2 hours) Leaving Castries, the bus will travel to the top of Morne Fortune where you will mount a mountain bike for a ride through hill top roads with their spectacular views of the harbour on one side and the dramatic mountain range on the other. First stop will be Caribelle Batik to see the process of making Batik fabric by hand. The ride continues past banana plantations, through rural neighborhoods and the water treatment plant. At Babonneau Hill, a stop will be made for fresh fruit and refreshing coconut water. Then downhill through the lush valley of Balata and to Union Gap where you once again board a bus for the trip to Ganters Bay before the ferry back to the port.

Great Horse Adventure

(4 hours) Driving to the northeast side of the island, you will see the scenic countryside affording excellent mountain views and a look at the true Lucian-style of country living. At Country Saddles, you will be given a short briefing and issued a helmet. The ride begins at the old sugar plantation passing the historic mill built by the French in the 1770's. Splashing across the river and through the banana fields and mangroves, you will emerge onto a cliff lined beach. Upon return to the plantation house, there will be time for a cold drink and a walk through the property to enjoy the country setting.

Country Garden Paradise
Price per person: $63.00 - child: $50.00 (2-11)
(4 1/2 - 6 hours) Traveling through the heart of Castries up a picturesque and winding road to Morne Fortune, you will capture the magnificence of the harbour on one side and the dramatic mountain range on the other. Driving down, you will pass by banana plantations and fishing villages before your arrival at Mamiku Gardens, an 18th century old estate. The beautiful grounds are carved out of the woodlands, surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. Afterwards, lunch is served at the Fox Grove Inn, an exotic restaurant with a fantastic view of Plaslin Bay.
