Inside Adventure Tour

(2 hours) This tour was created for travelers to explore other
parts of the island and to learn a little about what makes Catalina
Island so enchanting. Discover many coves and landings, each boasting
a unique story. Besides the buffalo that graze freely, many other
animals, such as wild boar, fox, goats, sheep and ravens live
here. Visit the airport, constructed 1602' above sea level; to
do this, 2 mountain peaks had to be topped off in order to build
a runway long enough for planes to take off and land. Before returning,
you will visit the newly constructed Catalina Island Nature Center.
Lovers' Cove Snorkel Tour

(2 1/2 hours) An opportunity for the adventurous to experience
the marvelous variety of undersea life in the waters off Catalina
Island. You will be provided with snorkel gear and expert instruction
by certified instructors. With a packet of fish food in hand,
you will be escorted into the water where you will see hundreds
of fish thrive in this area and call it home.
Avalon Scuba Adventure - Certified

(2 1/2 hours) An opportunity for divers to experience the splendid
Avalon Underwater Park at Casino Point. You will be fully outfitted
before the dive masters escort you into the water on this 60'
dive to the first under-water park established in California.
The park primarily consists of the giant kelp and is home to a
large variety of marine life.

Casino Tour

(40 minutes) After a short tender ride and a ten minute stroll
to the casino building, a guide will explain the history behind
this historic landmark, including the Avalon Theater with its
murals and classic 1929 pipe organ. View a historical slide show
before walking up to the world famous casino ballroom and the
Catalina Island History Museum.
City and Botanical Tour

(1 3/4 hours) After a drive along the coast, the tour will climb
the terraces of Avalon where breathtaking views await you. Up
Avalon Canyon and past the Old Bird Park, you arrive at the botanical
gardens, former resting place of Wrigley Jr., founder of the chewing
gum company. The memorial garden is home to a unique collection
of native plants. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the landscaped grounds
before continuing on the narrated tour through the heart of Avalon
Glass-Bottom Boat Tour

(40 minutes) One of the islands most popular tours, the glass-bottom
boat trip has always fascinated the explorer because the ocean
is not an encapsulated aquarium and its inhabitants are free to
come and go as they please. From the attractive orange colored
Garibaldi to the camouflaged Leopard Shark, all creatures are
visible in their natural habitats. Your glass-bottom boat was
specifically designed for the Pacific coastal waters of California
with its broad and streamlined design for stability.
Catalina Kayak Expedition

(2 ½ hours) After being met at the pier by your guide, you will
walk to the Descanso Beach Club where qualified instructors will
teach the basics of paddling your 2-person Sit-On-Top Kayaks.
These stable, maneuverable boats are fun and easy. Gliding above
the clear water and near shore kelp forests, you will spot many
fish below as the guides point out interesting landmarks, birds
and plants and tell you about the island's ancient to modern history,
geology and ecology. After a scenic paddle to Frog Rock, you will
land to stretch your legs, take a dip if desired, and enjoy an
energy snack before the leisurely paddle back to Descanso Beach.
Avalon by Foot

(1 1/2 hours) Enjoy a leisurely, but moderately strenuous tour
of the back roads of the enchanting community of Avalon. Your
walk through town will be led by a resident tour guide who will
tell you about the unique features and show you the interesting
locales that make this island resort so special. Along the way,
there will be frequent photo stops for the many panoramic views.
Undersea Tour

(40 minutes) Join the Captain and crew on the Starlight or Emerald
for an undersea tour you will never forget. Special underwater
windows give you the best view of Catalina's majestic kelp forest
alive with numerous varieties of sea life.
Land and Sea Adventure

(ages 5-11)
(4 hours) Via motor coach you will view the spectacular valleys,
rolling hillsides, wildlife and varied plant life. See Catalina's
"Airport-in-the-Sky", built by leveling 2 mountain tops. While
at Two Harbors, you can explore this Caribbean-like village. Then
board a 34' turbo-charged raft and journey through sea caves and
other secluded coves and beaches. See the flying fish, sea lions
and harbor seals along the rugged coastline. You may even encounter
the dolphin who swim alongside your raft.
